Most kids are active, they also curious at many things. If your house has an extra space or room, it would be great if you functioned it into a playroom. Your kids will love it too.
Here are some tips that i can share with you..
- The most important thing is : Make it safe . Your child safety is the number one when you create a playroom for your little one. No sharp thing or anything that will harm them. Sometimes they stick a finger in a wall outlet or taste something from a bottle under the sink. Remove all unsafe household products such as cleaners, toxic liquids and materials, paints. Choose non-toxic and unbreakable wood, plastic or metal furnishings instead of those made of glass or covered with suspect paint. Remove anything that can get hot or cause burns. Install child-safe "gates" that adjust to span any door opening to prevent your toddler from wandering out of the playroom. Never allow toddlers to play with small game pieces or toys with detachable small parts that may present a choking hazard.
- Furnished the playroom with child-sized chairs, tables and shelves for their books, toys and games makes everything accessible and encourages use. Put the toys that can stimulate and educate your child such as puzzles, crafts, wooden toys, hands on projects, painting, thinking blocks, pretend plays, ride on, balance bar to step on it and other sports activity. Try to always stimulate the five senses of your child. Make a not to high shelf, so that your children can reach the books and toys they want.
- Try to choose one bold color to create an accent wall and paint the rest white or other neutral color. As tastes change, it is much easier to repaint one wall than four. Furnishings and accessory pillows, drapes, pictures and toys can also make use of color to brighten drab areas. May be you also can put some beautifull and funny pictures.
- Think years ahead and use adjustable shelves and versatile beds, chairs and tables that grow with your child. Leaving an open space in the center of the room also gives you the flexibility to shift the space as needed as your toddler grows and her interests change. Give enough windows so the sun light can bright the playroom.
- Always keep your child's playroom clean.
